Tonight: MuTeFest’15 opening event! ‘Three Dusks to Dark’

MuTeFest’15 starts in just a few hours, with our first concert:

Three Dusks to Dark – Alejandro Olarte’s fourth doctoral concert

Three Dusks to Dark is an interdisciplinary collaboration where music, dance and words intertwine forming an immersive spatial structure. The performance moves in the different scales of darkening from instants to night, autumn and global dimming.
The piece is one outcome of the ongoing research with sonic, kinetic and semantic tools in improvisation.

Artistic Team:
Alejandro Olarte is a sound artist and a researcher of pedagogy and electroacoustic music improvisation.
Jasmiina Sipilä is a dancer, choreographer and pedagogue interested in interdisciplinary artistic work.
Outi Korhonen is a cultural worker whose work is based on words and intercultural dialogue.

MuTeFest is an annual festival of concerts and events highlighting some of the many sides of the artistic work of the Centre for Music & Technology of the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki. MuTeFest’15 offers an exciting programme, including concerts, and exhibition, demos, and artist lectures, covering a broad range from electroacoustic music, to sound art, to pop, rock, and more!

Tickets to individual performances: 6.50 € (Lippupalvelu), 5 € (Music Centre)
Festival pass (admission to all Festival concerts): 17.50 € (Lippupalvelu), 15 € (Helsinki Music Centre)
